If you were waiting for a deliverer, someone to rescue you from a desperate situation, who would you want to come?  What would you imagine that they would be like?  The people in Jesus' time were looking for a David-like king, but Jesus didn't come as a king.  He came as the son of a carpenter.  He came as a servant.  What kind of servant was he?  What made him the deliverer we should be looking for?
